The book comprises four parts which generally are summarized in the following lines. On the anatomy and physiology of the hen, the first part describes the essential organs of the body of the animal and the functioning of his body, to better understand the animal in order to better exploit its potential . The second part focuses on parasitic, bacterial, viral and deficiency known to date, which affects livestock. There has been a scientific description of the etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology, methods of curative and prophylactic of each disease. The following section provides all the tools for best practice in the poultry industry and scale, in urban or rural. Hygiene in the poultry farm has an equally important role that technology food of avian origin intended for human consumption. The last part discusses the role of poultry in the development, by pinning the concept of sustainable development. The importance of growth in poultry production in farms, both in developed countries than in developing, is emphasized.
