Default software of Atlas of Clinical Fungi The BY G.S. de HOOG et al.

Atlas of Clinical Fungi The ultimate benchtool for diagnostics BY G.S. de HOOG et al. A pilot CD-ROM version of the 3rd edition is available since May 2009. It will allow fast and very comfortable search through the entire Atlas text; the engine is fully equipped for simple as well as advanced search. Items are strongly linked enabling direct use of the CD as a benchtool for identification and comparison. Text boxes with concise definitions appear explaining all terminology while reading. Illustrations are of highest quality and viewers are provided for detailed observation. The Atlas is interactive in allowing personal annotation wich will be maintained when later versions will be downloaded. Preliminary versions of the Atlas will later be replaced for the final third edition, at no cost. The electronic version has been developed by T. Weniger. The third edition will contain about 470 clinically relevant species, following all major developments in fungal diagnostics. Regular electronic updates of the Atlas are planned, which should include numerous references to case reports, as well as full data on antifungals. Future features will include links to extended databases with verified molecular information. http://www.clinicalfungi.org/
