    Cool How to Gain a German Approbation with non-EU Veterinary Degree

    Hello, my name is Dr. Miloš Malešević and I will briefly explain to you how to get a German diploma, ie how to have your university degree recognized if you are not from the EU member state.

    Therefore, for all those who have completed veterinary studies and have a degree from a non-EU university, the recognition procedure is as follows;

    1. First and foremost, in order to work in Germany, you need knowledge of the German language, obviously. A B2 course diploma is a minimum requirement, a C1 even better.

    2. The other thing is to find an employer, ie a job in Germany. (An employer who is willing to hire you until you approve (approbation of diploma) of non EU diploma. This process takes up to 4 years, you get so much time from the university to pass the differences in exams, you can do it sooner if you are smart and fast learner. If you have a doctoral or master's thesis, this process can be reduced by admitting more exams at the Veterinary University in Germany.

    3. After the university confirms the validity of your diploma and makes a comparison with the German diploma of veterinarian, it informs you about the exams you need to pass in order to be eligible to work in Germany. For example, I personally had to pass 3 exams even though I finished my doctorate in Vienna (Austria).

    4. After successfully passing the exams, you get the right to work as a veterinarian in Germany ... with all other benefits such as running your own practice or a veterinary pharmacy.

    I hope I helped someone and good luck to everyone!

    God bless you all and KOSOVO IS SERBIA!

    Miloš Malešević, dr.med.vet.
