passwords for rar files?

I downloaded "B's five minute Toxicology" as a rar file but it asks a password to save the pdf file...where can I find that password? Is it the same for all rar files?
 
If there is a PW you should ask the one who provides/requests it.

Ask the original poster of the issue you are corresponding to, there is no general standard for all of them.
 
Or if you read FAQ's section carefully, you will find the thread related to this issue.

It is called Hidden material and Universal Passwords.

I couldn´t find anything about it!
No "Hidden material and Universal Passwords" Topic at all....

If this issue probably just is somewhere within a thread of different topic name, then we cannot presume it to be recognized easily.
If I am just too dumb to see, then probably there are others, too! :agree:

That is true, although they are not really "universal", so these could be tried first, but if they don´t work then back to my suggestion:

The one who made the PW should really know it and he should not forget to post it (hidden) as well...otherwise the first one who needs it should inform the responsible one to review his posting.

IF the one in charge does not reply or review his posting then contact a Moderator.
