Too often in veterinary medicine we avoid doing things that require just too much time and effort for the busy surgery. Well no more excuses, you can do it yourself, cleanly and simply with PCXP. PCXP positively encourages you to tackle that difficult chemo case in house, schedule that 3 day water deprivation test etc. Why? Because it works it all out for both you and your client.

Endocrine Protocols: 23 are made available (click here). If you were doing all these tests all the time then they would be no real problem. But the reality is you may do one here, another there and by the time it comes around to repeating a test you have forgotten all the nuances of the test, so out come the books again, pen to paper, and how you hate doing those calculations, and did you do then right? better re calculate and check. Familiar story? With PCXP all you need to do is just enter the animal's weight and name, click a button and create a crystal clear report, personalised (to patient and your surgery) for any of the tests listed. It auto calculates all doses and timing intervals, and even alerts you whether the test's starting time fits in with you surgeries hours. It tells you what samples are needed and at what time to take them. It tells you what tests to request of your lab and how to submit them. Sounds too good to be true? It isn't!

Chemotherapeutic protocols: 20 are made available (click here). Takes all the hassles out of this maze of a task! How many of you avoid it as it is just too complicated? The task of preparing an accurate protocol with 3-4 different medicines, some dosed at mg/kg, others at /m square of body SA and each with their own schedules is a nightmare. Then there is the maintenance schedule which is different from the induction schedule. You find it hard to understand, then how do you think the client feels? Well PCXP is a dream. It will create a very clear and simple 2-6 month program for your clients to follow. Printouts include personalised schedules that the client can tick as they progress (see illustration). PCXP auto calculates all drug amounts, by what route, schedules when to be given, provides warning on side effects, precautions on drug handling for staff and clients, and does all this for induction and maintenance! All with a single click!

Perform liver, renal and pancreatic function tests: 7 tests are covered (click here): "I get all confused with GFR's, the calculations required and what the results mean. It puts me off running renal function testing. I just stick with urea / creatinine and phosphorous as my regime for renal cases". Is this a familiar feeling? Then these great little calculators are what you are looking for. They tell you how to do the tests and then interpret your results when they arrive back from the lab. You can print out the analysis to share with your client. Accurate each and every time.

Gravimetric and SI units converter: Trying to read an article and results are expressed in units you hate? Does your lab give you results in units you don't like or can't use? This nifty little tool does all the conversions both ways. Very handy.
