With the permission from Dr Stator and Free to all Elib4Vet Forum Members. Launching The

Elib4Vet Community Toolbar
Veterinary Medicine Electronic Library​

This toolbar is available to all to download for free.​

Some Features in this toolbar:​

I had some help from some templates and software gadgets that make life easy in creating such a toolbar. Also I did create other toolbars in the past.

Then it is just a matter of doing your own buttons menu etc.... according to how I wanted it to look.

Of course I coulnt just post it here without permission so I have asked Dr Stator if I could post it in the forum for the users.

The idea of it ,is for those that are visit the forum several times a day. In the sense that instead of visiting the page for regular post the person can be browsing elsewhere but having easy access to the forum from the toolbar itself.

I am not a toolbar crazy but I usually create my own (or have ones that are usefull) to make my work more easy and accessible.

The reason why I am curious about what other users think about it as I can modify and adapt the toolbar to be able to make it more efficient for users by eventually adding or removing components from it. Of course the main theme of the toolbar is for this forum.

If one day you decide to try it of course let me know what you think.

I tried it and its really nice, but I am not a fan of toolbars in general and I always have a window open to this forum, so I actually do not need it but as the original idea it is a great contribution from you.

What do you think about showing all others here how to create such a thing, so probably there can be some development with different contributions?

Of course I understand that you are viewing the forum all the time. Especially in you case since you are a moderator and you need to check things out. (Like my double posts!!!!:)).

I am glad you liked it.

I partly agree with your suggestion to have people giving different contribution. The only thing I am not so much in favour of is that usually you have one toolbar for every site. I have seen that when there is more than on toolbar it tends to become confusing. I did it in the past and I havent seen the desired result to be honest.

At the moment more as a hobby and to learn codes, app etc.... I am taking care of 20 toolbars and usually these are created in collaboration with the owner of the website, comments and suggestions and in the case of forums including moderators.

What I will do is I will have a look around for some links and post them here for any user that is interested to develop his/her app or gadget towards this forum. Of course remaining with the subject of this forum.

Then it is up to the individual. !!!!

Also I forgot to mention that the toolbar can be fully customized by the individual that installs it. You can get extra gadgets and small app and put them easily in your toolbar. Most of them are usually free. I left it quite open as a toolbar. The person that installs it has a standard format. Similar to the above image then other features can be switched on and off.

Trying to download the elib4vet toolbar on google chrome and does this add on can access my personal information ,especially websites i visit ,data ..as google chrome gave me a prompt..please advice...
